Ensuring your prints are in the centre of the paper with even margins around the edge.
Sometimes prints are consistently off to one side of the paper. No matter how well you adjust the guides and fit the paper in neatly, they always come out with the print off-centre. In this case, we can apply print offsets on the printers themselves.
Try head alignment tests before making any fixed offset changes. Also, note that these results can be very different by media size. If using multiple sizes, it could inadvertently impact the other.
You can find the print alignment settings on the menu:
Settings → General Settings → Printer Settings → Universal Printer Settings
Offsets can be positive and negative, up to 1/10th of a millimetre. If you apply a positive offset it will push the print in one direction, a negative offset will push it in the other.
The prints below are shown as they came out of the printer.
A negative top offset pushes the print further ‘down the page, and a positive offset pushes it closer to the top.
A negative left offset pushes the image to the right, a positive offset pushes it left.
