Cin7 printing integration - Chrome extension

We support printing on Cin7 via our Chrome extension

See the introductory guide on how to download and install this in your web browser.

Configuration

After installing the extension, pin it to your bookmarks bar then click the Penny Black logo icon to load the options.

Choose Cin7 as the Fulfilment System.

  • You’ll be working in Live mode
  • We will provide you with an API Key
  • List any of the Penny Black merchant IDs of any merchants you are fulfilling for here. The extension will only attempt to print for these merchants.
  • We will agree with you on the print location names. These will be different for each web browser running the extension on your different workbenches. This routes the prints for this bench to the correct printer.

Order identifiers

The Chrome extension works by ‘scraping’ the information about the orders from the page and sending them to Penny Black in a print API call.

For Cin7, these identifiers are available in the modal that displays when packing items for an order:

  1. The order ID from the e-commerce platform

Usage

From the Packing area of the WMS, select an order that you wish to pack. From here, you will be able to pack items for the order by selecting the + button on each item. When the order is packed, the above modal will display in the bottom left of the screen.

If the extension is activated correctly you will see a pink Print button appear to the right of the Submit Order button in the modal.
