Cover artwork

A guide on how to design, upload and order cover artwork for your inserts

What is the cover?

Inserts can be pre-printed on one side. We call this the cover

It will be loaded in the printer so that only one side needs to be printed for a fast and uninterrupted packing process. Your cover will be the same for every campaign & every customer.

Designing your cover artwork

Your cover artwork should reflect your brand styling. This may include:

  • Brand logo
  • Primary & secondary brand colours
  • Brand or product imagery
  • A “Thank you” message for customers
  • A Call To Action encouraging customers to turn or open the insert

FAQs

Do I have to have a cover?

  • Having a pre-printed cover is recommended to reduce print times in the warehouse. It’s also printed in higher resolution, giving you the chance to use more product imagery and brand colours.
  • Desktop printers cannot print A6 double-side, so if you want this size and you want content on both sides of the insert then you must have a cover.

How do I update the email address I get stock alerts to?

  • Go to Settings > General and scroll down to the Stock section.

How often can I change my cover artwork?

  • If you manage your own stock, you can change it as long as you like. We recommend 3-6 months to benefit from scale pricing of your card.

What if I want to change the size of my artwork?

  • If you've ordered cover artwork in a new size and redesigned your campaigns, you will need to let your warehouse know to switch the stock over to coordinate with your newly scheduled campaigns.
