Veeqo print integration - Chrome Extension

We support printing o Veeqo via our Chrome Extension.

Introduction

See the introductory guide on how to download and install the Chrome extension in your web browser.

Configuration

After installing the extension, pin it to your bookmarks bar then click the Penny Black logo icon to load the options.

  • Choose Veeqo as the fulfilment system
  • You’ll be working in Live mode
  • We will provide you with an API Key
  • List the Penny Black merchant fulfilment IDs of any merchants you are fulfilling for here. The extension will only attempt to print for these merchants. If you are using Veeqo just for yourself as a merchant then this can be left empty (see below for what these values should be)
  • We will agree with you on the print location names. These will be different for each web browser running the extension on your different workbenches. This routes the prints for this bench to the correct printer.
  • If you prefer clicking a button explicitly to print then you can uncheck Automatic Printing

Merchant identifiers

We need to ensure that the Penny Black platform and Veeqo have matching merchant identifiers.

You can configure how your stores are identified within Veeqo from Settings > Marketplace & ecommerce integrations

We use the NAME value to identify the merchant. This value must be set to match in Penny Black for each merchant being fulfilled. Get in touch and we will set this for you.

If you are fulfilling multiple merchants then make sure you list this value for all merchants using Penny Black into the popup config menu.

Usage

The extension will be enabled on the Ship overlay, that you arrive at from the Orders list page:

Automatic printing

If automatic printing is enabled, and configuration is correct, then the Penny Black print will be triggered when you click on the SHIP button in the bottom-right corner.

NOTE: We only attempt an automated print once per order. If you revisit this screen and click SHIP again it will not automatically print. This is to avoid duplicates and prevent waste of media.

If the request succeeds then the print will complete without any notification.

If there’s an issue with printing then an error dialog will be displayed, indicating the problem:

Manual printing

In addition to automated printing, there is a manual print button in the bottom-left corner.

This will default to pink, but it will check to see if a print is required for the order and if not it will turn grey and become disabled:

This is likely because the order did not match a campaign.

With manual printing, you will always receive visual feedback on the result:
