Linnworks printing app for hand-held devices

The app will allow Penny Black to monitor orders as they transition into a processed state, triggering a print on the correct packing bench when they do so.

Introduction

We provide a Linnworks App for workflows where handheld devices are used during the packing process and the Chrome Extension is not suitable due to a lack of a desktop computer on the workstation.

Requirements for this integration

  1. Packers must have their own user accounts in your Linnworks instance
  2. Packers must log into the Penny Black Packer App from their handheld device at the start of their shift and set their current packing bench (they will also need to do this at any point they change benches)

Please note that this integration only supports printing at the point of packing

Installation

You can install the app from the Linnworks app store, just search for Penny Black and click Install.

Setup

There is no configuration needed in the Penny Black Linnworks app. After you've installed it just reach out to Penny Black and we can set you up on our Packer App, which will complete the setup.

Registering your packing bench

It is imperative that packers register their active packing bench in the Penny Black Packer App. After a packer logs in with their provided account details, they will see a screen like this where they can set their active bench.

Packers must register their packing bench whenever they change locations. If you only operate a single bench/location then this can be set once and left.
